Thank you to the residents of Ward 6 for showing confidence in the way forward for our ward and our city. I am grateful for your overwhelming support, and humbled by the outpouring of well wishes.

I want to sincerely congratulate Jon Naylor and Lee Kormish, both of whom worked exceptionally hard in this campaign. Your dedication helps to make our city and democracy stronger.

I am deeply grateful for the incredible team who has worked alongside me every day for the past 3 ½ months. It has been an exceptional effort and sacrifice, and I feel so fortunate to have worked with such talented and committed people.  You are truly my Dream Team! Thank you to each one who took a leadership role in the campaign and the many friends, neighbours and family members who knocked doors, dropped pamphlets, cooked meals and stepped up in a myriad of ways to support the effort. I literally could not have done this without you.  Special thanks to my husband Mike and our kids, Casey and Davis.  They are my rock, AND my soft place to land. *Belle also gets a special mention. Our Shepard-Cross and unofficial mascot added joy throughout.

It has been an honour to serve the residents of Ward 6, and I look forward to the next four years, which now includes the beautiful neighbourhood of Brevoort Park.

Building on the Basics with Block means striving to ensure our roads, sidewalks and underground infrastructure are keeping pace with growth. We are getting there, even as there is more work ahead.

Building on the Basics also means giving back.  Much of the City’s plan for growth rests on building density in the core, and we need to ensure our historic neighbourhoods are keeping pace. That includes better parks, infill sidewalks, accessibility, green infrastructure, a modern transportation system and active transportation.

I will work with passion and commitment to ensure the decisions at City Hall are made with a wide angle lens to serve our community today and into the future. Together, we will build a prosperous, progressive and sustainable Saskatoon.
